This past summer, my Wife’s Grandmother celebrated her 90th Birthday with a large gathering of family and friends. My Mother-in-law spend a great deal of time organizing the event, and she had tasked me with preparing and designing loot bags for the 8 children that were in attendance at the party. No problem. That’s right up my alley! While I was putting things together, I realized that several of these children have fairly unique names. So, I switched gears a bit and decided to adorn each gift bag with a custom made name magnet for each of the kids. I know how hard it is to find a plaque or magnet with a child’s name on it when they have uncommon names. So I decided to draw up each child’s name and make those into magnets that would be affixed at the front of each loot bag. I got some basic info from my M-I-L and attempted to customize each child’s name with their likes and and elements of their personalities that would shine through.
They were a big hit, and I’ve received many compliments on them. I even designed a couple for my own name. I have tons of these name doodles on pieces of paper all over my house, and one day when I collect them all I’ll post them here.
